Check out some of the newest stuff I’ve been making, acrylic galaxies! Aren’t they so cool? I love the ethereal, cloudy, billowy, glowing forms they’ve taken on. And, like all my creations, they come complete with glitter and bling.
Oh, and wanna know the coolest part? They glow in the dark! I KNOW! (Also, as soon as I figure out how to photograph it properly, I will for sure post those images. Anyone have a black light I can borrow?)
Sometimes I just want to look at pretty things made with pretty colors, and that's how these designs came about. Some of them are like clouds in that everyone sees a different shape, but regardless of the image, each piece seems to resonate with people for different reasons.
I drove up to the Lake George area to snap some pictures early in the morning. Stopped for some pictures at a farm along the way where I encountered a horse who acted like a dog, rolling around on his back and kicking his legs in the air. Then continued onto the lake, watching the parasailers over the water. I hope to do that myself sometime, it was just so beautiful to watch!
All images available for purchase, just shoot me a message to let me know what you’re looking for!
I created these messages because they were things I needed to hear, and as with most of my artwork, I thought maybe others could use a reminder as well!
Available in two sizes, 4.5” x 6.25” or 8” x 10,” these sparkle prints are here to remind you just how wonderful you are, in case you feel like you’ve forgotten. Each message has been lovingly hand-glittered for emphasis :)
Throw a smaller one under a magnet for some Fridge Therapy, or pop either size into a frame somewhere you can see it regularly! (Personally, I have a bunch on my fridge.) The more frequently you see the messages the more you’ll internalize them, and the more you’ll start to realize just how much you’re deserving of the same love you show to others.
Believe it or not, you can actually change the way your brain thinks, and wouldn’t it be nice to increase the thoughts telling you you’re amazing exactly as you are?
I love doing custom orders for people! Whether you have a quote or interest that's dear to your heart, or maybe you want to see something I've already done but in your favorite colors, I love the challenge! Can't wait until after the holidays when I can post more custom order images without ruining any surprises ;)
I had the opportunity to visit Lavenlair Farm after learning about them at the Troy Farmer’s Market. The owners David and Diane were lovely, he led the tour, she answered my many questions about how and what to cook with lavender, and the farm was peaceful and smelled as wonderful as you can imagine.
I highly recommend it if you’re in the Lake George area!
Photos available for purchase.
I cannot get enough of the goldfinches or all of the wildflowers around here! I must have taken the exact same pictures 5 different ways, and could hardly narrow them down. The vibrant colors just excite me too much :)
Troy has a wonderful annual tradition where local residents open up their private gardens for an afternoon so the public can see them. I’m glad I got to explore these beautiful and relaxing havens I honestly couldn’t believe existed in the middle of a city. Plus, of course, all those flowers!
Gallery on display (and for sale) at the Intentional Wellness and Yoga Center until further notice. These are just some of the images available for purchase. Check out my Upcoming Shows page for more info.
While a couple of these pictures were taken elsewhere, the majority were taken in the same location. It was a long-held dream of mine to wander through the Rockefeller Preserve during a snowstorm and take pictures, as it's the one season I've never managed to capture. There weren't many other people around and it was serene and dazzlingly white with the snow falling heavily. I expected to see some wildlife- I ran into a family of deer, ducks, some cardinals and sparrows- but was surprised that there were so many woodpeckers out and about. I'm also surprised so many of those pictures managed to stay in focus with the snow falling in each shot and the amount of flakes landing directly on my lens.
I started noticing birds more when I was stuck at home after shoulder surgery. My favorite view quickly became the bird feeder and the daily dramas that transpired between the cardinals, blue jays, robins, sparrows, woodpeckers, and many, many others.
A few of the little creatures I've met along the way - some woodland, and some domesticated.
Walking around my neighborhood with my camera is a favorite pastime, particularly in the spring when everything's in bloom. Unsurprisingly, I'm drawn to the incredible, vibrant colors of the flowers, as well as the buzzing bees and butterflies that keep them growing.
I love watching cartoons, and went through a particularly fun phase of rendering out my favorite images in acrylic. I'm sure you'll recognize some familiar faces.
